Cootamundra

The next town we stopped in was Cootamundra. This town is on the direct rail line between Sydney and Melbourne. The town has some wonderful old buildings and lots of gorgeous old homes. The town is full of parks and a has the Muttama river running through it.

The old court house.

 The returned servicemans league.

This craft centre had three rooms full of locally made knitted and sewn items for sale. Worth a look around.

Next door was the heritage centre that displayed the history of the town and area. I loved the ribbons won for best sponge sandwich.
A very intricate crocheted piece of the lords prayer.
And of course a hexi quilt on the bed.
