Next stop was in Goulburn. Luckily we were staying almost next door to the Big Merino, and of course I had to go and have a look.
My first view of the big boy was courtesy of the NSW police and a stop for a drug test. It was the perfect viewing place to see him from. And of course Gerry was given the all clear and on we continued to our camp site.
I walked down to get a closer look. What a magnificent sheep.
I went into the gift shop next door which sold lots of merino wool items along with lots of australian souveniers. From the shop we were able to enter the sheep where there was a little museum about merino wool and the industry.
I climbed to the top of the ram and looked out his eyes. It was an interesting visit but I have to admitt I havent been bitten by the need to see all the Big monuments in Australia.
