Easter knitting #knittingpodcast

I wish everyone a happy Easter and hope you found some time to sit and relax with a bit of crafting.

I have knitted a few chickens from my handspun yarn to add to my Easter flock.

I always had an Easter display starting from when the children were small. I used to display their Easter craft to create a display but as the years have gone by some of the pieces were looking a little sad and old so I decided to update a little, starting with some knitted chickens.

Next year I hope to add some cross stitched pieces to my display but there are so many to choose from I dont know which one to choose first.

Do you make a display for Easter and do you have any favourite hand made patterns you love to use? I would love to hear what you have made.

I have been knitting up these little birds to add to my Easter display.  I used some of my left over handspun yarn that I had dyed using landscape dyes.

I hope everyone has a relaxing and safe Easter break.

Bishopstone yarns podcast 5

Sit down, relax, grab something to make and join me while I do some spinning. We can have a chat during my new podcast. It is so nice to have you with me while I spin up some silk on my majacraft spinning wheel. This is a perfect chance to take some time out for yourself and enjoy making something for yourself, it could be knitting, sewing or join me with your wheel and spin along with me.

It is always so nice to have you with me while I spin. Leave a comment as I love to hear what you are making and what your thoughts are on what I am doing. I look forward to hearing from you.

Thankyou for watching.

Bishopstone yarns episode 6

Episode 6 of Bishopstone Yarns podcast is now up on youtube.  I have finished my second Balvonie Bonnet by The Woolly Thistle. This was a pattern I got for doing the colourwork knit along. I also have made some progress on my Magnolia Bloom by Camilla Vad.

I have also started a new quilt as a quilt along with my local quilt group. I have made the first five blocks in The Farmer's Wife sampler quilt. I think there are 111 blocks all together. So wish me luck.

I also talk about my first jumper I remember knitting after watching knit with Kim and Jonna podcast and their discussion about first sweaters.

I would love you to join me on my knitting and crafting adventures. I love to read your thoughts so please write a comment .

Valentine's Day knitting love

As it is Valentine's Day here in Tasmania I thought I would share some of my wooly love. These are true love as they will keep you warm for years to come. These knits are all from my handspun wool and are also hand dyed by me.

I hope your Valentine's Day has been full of love in what ever type that is.
